Andrea's story
“I've lived in Bristol at some of the most horrendous points in my
life. I was abused as a child and went through many children's
homes. By the age of 12 I was a heroin addict. When I was working
the streets I couldn't walk because of bad health and I couldn't get
anywhere to live. I just wanted to die.”
“The people at One25 became friends, but it took time. I didn't
have the level of self-worth to accept help. My One25 worker kept
visiting me and helped me get all the agencies together to help
me to come off drugs, get a home and come off the game. I'm now
seeing my children again and have started volunteering. I feel
blessed. ”
